City Year Chicago
City Year called on Friday to congratulate me on being accepted into the program! I was in my bedroom, squatting on the floor listening to my Discman that was plugged into the wall. I attempted to find a Joan Baez song I had heard in a dream.
After I hung up, I celebrated. I think I jumped, danced, maybe screamed. I made some calls but no one was in. I walked for 40 minutes on the treadmill. I wanted to burn that energy. I eventually talked to Em, who may move to Chicago next year.
