Video store
Em wanted to go to the movies yesterday. I voted for renting a video. Even then, I was tired and should have stayed home. After much time in the video store, we chose "The Scarlet Letter." I don't know why I cared what movie it was. I knew I'd fall asleep.
We were going to watch the movie in the C-Bottom lounge, because Shelly was doing homework in the room. Em struggled to hook the VCR to the TV out there. It just wouldn't work. This guy, Dan, came to help her, but that didn't work. I closed my eyes on the couch the whole time. I was on my way to another place.
Just when Em gave up, Shelly said we could watch the movie in the room. The VCR still wouldn't work, so time kept ticking away. By the time the movie started, I could hardly keep my eyes open. I laid down on Em's bed and fell asleep. I slept through the movie and through the night. Around 8 a.m., I got out of bed and came back to the apartment. I was still sleepy but wanted to be in my own bed. I slept here until noon. Well, 12:30.
