Who's Who
I went to Campus Times after class to check my email. I was typing away when Bob Rivera walked in saying, "Are you the same ### who made it on the Who's Who Among American College Students?" I told him yeah. He congratulated me, telling me what an honor it was, because I would be in libraries across the country. I said thanks, and he left. Soon, came a journalism instructor who told me I won 2nd place in a Columbia University journalism competition. I didn't know I had been entered or what the competition was. I was surprised. I've gotten used to being rejected. Someone actually liked my work? Wow!
For the next half hour, people came in and out, congratulating me for one achievement or another. It was so weird. Kind of embarrassing. All I could say was "thanks." I wanted to know how everyone knew of those things, then I figured it must have been going into the Campus Times. I guess I'll see tomorrow.
